K-12 SCHOOL BASED TELEHEALTH THERAPIST 

VIRTUAL COUNSELOR is an experienced online group practice specializing in School-Based Telehealth Counseling. We are looking for fully Licensed Professionals (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LSW), to provide Virtual Counseling Services for students enrolled in a Pennsylvania K-12 Cyber School.

Virtual counseling is offered in the form of weekly individual counseling as a Special Education Related Service. In addition to direct service time, clinicians will be responsible for completing progress notes, goal plans, monthly paperwork, quarterly progress reports, and other applicable paperwork.

The contractor will be trained on best practices for providing online counseling, the use of a HIPAA-secure compliant platform, and current trends in TeleMental Health.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have updated clearances within one year. (FBI, Child Abuse, State Police) and other clearance as requested (Act24, 168)

  • Must be a fully licensed clinician in Pennsylvania (LPC, LCSW, LMFT LSW)

  • Will be hired on a part-time, independent contract basis (Fee-for-service)

  • Upon hire, must acquire liability insurance and name our company as an additional insured. (1million/3million minimum)

  • Clinicians will work from home in a HIPAA secure space

  • Computer and webcam supplied by the clinician with highspeed internet access.

  • Willingness to acquire a (BC-TMH) Board Certified-Telemental Health Provider or telehealth training equivalent is preferred.

  • Familiarity with School-Based Services, Special Education, and IEP/504 plans preferred.

  • A Master’s Degree in counseling/psychology/social work and at least two years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents is necessary.

HOURS: The clinician will work on a school-based schedule from September through June. Services will only be offered on school days during approved hours, as dictated by the school. Generally, 9 am-6 pm. It is necessary that the clinician have some daytime availability to fulfill this role.

CASELOAD: **Minimum of 10 students. Caseloads will build to a preferred number of 25+*

START DATE: Interviews are immediate and ongoing.
